Description : To strengthen the capacities of agropastoral and pastoral communities, it is necessary to combat livestock diseases and improve husbandry practices. To this end, the ICRC, in collaboration with the regional livestock departments, is setting up and financing the training of livestock auxiliaries. These auxiliaries, who come from the communities, are trained and installed in their local area. They will work under the supervision of a local Private Veterinary Service (SVPP), which will supply them with quality veterinary products. This link between the auxiliaries installed by the ICRC and the veterinary services will contribute to the sustainability of the animal health care system and the fight against antimicrobial resistance. After training, each auxiliary will receive a veterinary clinic equipment kit and a voucher worth 300,000 CFA francs for the supply of veterinary drugs and inputs.
