Caption : Geneva, Rath Museum. Inauguration of the exhibition "Humanizing war ? ICRC - 150 Years of Humanitarian Action." This section of the museum features four questions regarding several situations of violence in which the ICRC found itself helpless in alleviating the suffering of the victims. Behind each panel with a question, a fact sheet recounts the key elements of each context, while answering to some of these legitimate questions by confessions of powerlessness, and by certain admissions of failure. Through the exhibition, the ICRC thus also takes a critical look at its own action and offers an analytical approach to the visitor discovering its history.
