Description :
Restoring family links activity in DRC. Special flight. For 3 days a plane hired by the ICRC has been travelling 5'560 km through 7 provinces in the entire country to reunify 54 children with their families. These children were separated from their families due to the ongoing violence and armed conflict in the country for the past 20 years. In total, 240 unaccompanied children, among them 84 who have been forced to serve in the military or an armed group, have been reunited with their families in DRC or neighboring countries between January and May 2014.
