Description :
19 congolese refugee children in Uganda, separated from their families for the past 2 years due to the conflict and ongoing violence in the East of the DRC, crossed the border to be reunited with their relatives by the ICRC, with the help of the Red Cross Society of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Uganda Red Cross Society. The reunifications are taking place in various locations in the North Kivu province. Between January and May 2014, a total of 240 unaccompanied children, including 84 formerly associated with armed forces or groups, were reunited with their families by the ICRC, in some cases in other countries.
