In 2014 the ICRC continues working to improve the water distribution network of the city of Goma, in particular by opening two new pumping stations that will ultimately provide the city's 500,000 inhabitants with clean drinking water. The ICRC also continued water catchment and supply programs for more than 85,000 people living in rural areas in the territories of Walikale, Masisi and Rushuru, in North Kivu province.
