Description : An ICRC employee relates: "The Papua New Guinea Highlands can amaze you sometimes and this was one of those moments. After driving for a few hours through the mountains our team arrived in this village, Kalolo, where we’d built a health centre. The old one was burned down in a tribal conflict. This was the welcome we got: a sing sing. The women put garlands around our necks and we were escorted into the village by chanting warriors in their traditional costume. It was such an honour to be treated like that, and I felt very lucky to be working in this country."
