Caption : Karachi. A 65 years old man is having lunch with his family. Having worked in Saudi Arabia for a few years he returned home to Pakistan two decades ago and rebuilt his life in his ancestral neighborhood. In 2013, when he went to get his ID card renewed, he was denied which resulted in all 9 of his sons being denied the same. And yet they find ways to make ends meet enough to sit and enjoy a meal together.

Description : These people were Pakistanis before 1971 but became stateless when East Pakistan became Bangladesh. There are hundreds of thousands of people in the similar situation in Bangladesh (also known as Beharis) who at that time opposed the separation of East Pakistan and got stranded there ever since. Many do not have the nationality either and represent the part of the same problem which exists in both Pakistan and Bangladesh.
