Description :
In Al Zahira Polyclinic, the electricity supply network suffers many power cuts. But these cuts impact negatively on the service provided to diabetic patients. Al Zahira diabetic referral center in Damascus is supported by the ICRC through a non-communicable disease agreement with the Minister of Health. The centre provides more than 2,000 consultations every month. ICRC supports the facility with insulin, cold chain consumables, and laboratory equipment. The lecture room is also utilized for the yearly capacity-building workshop. ICRC supported the 4-floor center with a solar panels system to ensure quality health services are being provided to this vulnerable category on time.
