Description :
This 21-year-old young man was seriously injured due to the intensive violence in his area when he was eight years old, which led to the loss of his father and brother in addition to losing his lower limbs. He suffered for a long time during the years following his injury, and after five years he was transferred to the ICRC physical rehabilitation center in Aleppo, where he began his treatment journey and braved pain and difficulties for a year before he was finally able to stand again.
He says, “I used the limbs six years ago in 2017, and since then my life has changed. I had spent seven years crawling on the ground, and when my limbs were fixed and I was able to stand, it was a turning point for me. Despite the pain and difficulties, I did not retreat or accept that I would remain sitting. Even though I lived alone and there was no one to help me, I pushed through the pain by myself and endured a lot until I reached my current situation and returned to walking, thank God. I turned my wound into strength, and my dream is to prove to everyone that disability will never stop a person from having ambition or achieving something, and life is beautiful.”
