Description :
“Amra, a woman from the village of Barlahin in rural Aleppo, had weathered the conflict and displacement. At fifty years old, she is a mother to two children, striving to provide for her family.
Forced to flee their village due to the conflict, Amra and her family found themselves displaced for a year. Upon their return, they faced not only the continued fear due to conflict but also the threat of explosive remnants scattered throughout their land.
Tragedy struck when Amra's son was injured in an accident caused by one of these explosive remnants.
The incident left Amra afraid, she was afraid to even step onto her own land for fear of further danger, so she wasn't able to plow the soil.
But today, a glimmer of hope emerged as the Red Cross cleared the remnants of war from the front of her house.
Finally, Amra and her family could reclaim their lives without the constant fear. Today, Amra embraced the opportunity to work the land once again, alongside her children. No longer burdened by fear, they could cultivate their fields and earn their livelihood without hesitation."
