Description : One of these women is a mother of nine who fled the waves of conflict that broke out in her town. A seamstress by trade, she practises the art of spinning on the loom, a skill in which she has over twenty years' experience and which she used to practise even when she was displaced.

When she returned to Khan Shikhon after an absence of thirteen years, she was able to apply for a grant from the ICRC and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and resume her business, hiring ten other women to help her in the process. She is the only one in her town to own this type of business and plans to open a sewing workshop.
