Description :
The seminar provides a forum for dialogue and exchanges of experience between police and security forces from Rio State and city on armed violence, the use of force, operational protocols and respect for human rights.
The ICRC maintains a dialogue with police forces in countries affected by situations of violence that do not reach the level of armed conflict, with the aim of improving their knowledge, understanding and acceptance of international standards governing the activities of police forces, as well as their understanding and acceptance of ICRC's mandate.
