Description :
Albertine is 2 months into her role at Fizi hospital, and has received 3 trainings from the CICR, in patient monitoring, infection control and prevention, and proper disposal techniques for medical waste.
“Sometimes we are working in the operating theatre until 11pm, and once I was on a surgery that lasted from 3pm until 1 in the morning. We are seeing more bad injuries from drone attacks, and I try to make the patients less afraid before their surgery. They can be very stressed, or believe they are about to die. So I talk to them, and tell them what will happen, and tell them there is no need to worry”.
