Description :
After a conflict between groups, she was rescued and taken to a centre for displaced people.
She says that her husband was taken away with other men and she didn't know where he was. She was pregnant and didn't even know how to contact her husband and was uncertain whether she was alive. Without contact with her husband for four years, in 2023 she filed a search request with the ICRC to find him.
When the communities began to return to their areas of origin, she found a place to live in the area from which she had once fled.
She began to make contact with her husband via Red Cross messaging. The first day she received a letter from her husband, she told him that she was already the mother of a baby boy.
She lives with her family in Mocimboa. Her mother had also been kidnapped by the armed group. She opened a search request for her mother, with the help of the ICRC, and finally found her.
