Description :
This man used to be a truck driver in Soviet times and always dreamt about beekeeping, his brother used to work in a beefarm. They have always live on unemployment allowance (720 rubles per month) and their children allowance also helped them to make ends meet. The family received six hives from the ICRC and had to invest themselves in medicine and honey extraction equipment. The managed producing 36 kg of honey they then sold to friends and family for 200 rubles per kilo. This season they were able to make 2'500 rubles.
