Description :
In 2001, this woman stepped on a landmine during a picnic near the Iranian border, which resulted in the loss of a leg. She underwent physical rehabilitation at the ICRC's orthopaedic centre. The cow in the photograph was given to her by the ICRC, as part of a micro-economic initiative.
