Description :
The situation of those displaced by the violence in north-east Nigeria, especially women and girls, is extremely difficult. Communities have been torn apart, children are not going to school and almost everyone has lost everything. The ICRC is helping to restore contact between family members separated by the conflict.
The ICRC is making it possible for displaced people to receive treatment at the hospital in Maiduguri free of charge. The ICRC provides medical supplies and surgical training to the State Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri to help treat illnesses and wounds inflicted by bomb blasts and gunshots.
