Description :
The car the man was travelling in hit an improvised explosive device on a road in Dand, a district near Kandahar. Two other civilians in the car were severely injured and admitted to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) military hospital on Kandahar Air Field. The dead man was brought to the hospital by the two Afghan National Police (ANP) officers who were manning a checkpoint along the road. On the death certificate, the cause of the death was written as "Big wounds".
