Description : This aid is destinated to recent ethnic Uzbeks who had just returned from Uzbekistan to the town of Bazarqurgan which is about 100 km north of Osh. These same people fled the country when the fighting started. The returnees that the ICRC targeted were those whose houses were burnt down. Aid included two week food rations consisting of wheat flour, oil, sugar, beans rice and tea enough for 2,000 people. Non-food items included tents, plastic sheeting, jerry cans, kitchen sets, blankets and hygiene kits.
