Description :
Malayka, 31, mother of four, just had a became from Mogadishu 20 days ago and is one of almost a thousand families arriving in Garowe over the last months. Only the two first weeks of July, more than 3500 people alone came to Garowe district to seek peace.
- I was always so afraid in Mogadishu, she said.
Family supported her and her husband who went blind from an accident. But three weeks ago they decided to run with all their kids.
Now, after a distressful and painful journey towards more secure areas, Red Crescent volunteers help her to build a shelter.
- It is the first time I have received help from someone so far away that I didn't know, she said.
The volunteers prepare for a huge influx the next months.
