When it comes to Guantanamo, one of ICRC's biggest general concerns is that a lot of the detainees have now been held behind bars for many years with little or no clarity as to their fate. The ICRC would also like to see all those detainees, who have been cleared for transfer, to be transferred out as soon as possible.

On February 7, the ICRC completed its 100th visit to the United States detention facility at Guantanamo Bay Cuba, where its delegates have been monitoring the detainees' living conditions since 2002 in order to ensure that they are held and treated in accordance with international standards.
