Description : The Covedec centre, in Goma, run by Pastor Patrick Senzoga with ICRC support, opened its doors in late October 2008 to the scores of children who had become separated from their parents during the fighting and were now wandering on the streets, hungry and scared. The eldest child would take charge of the small ones.
At the height of the conflict 194 children were housed and it currently holds 128.
