Description : A 19 years old boy suffering from inguana hernia is about to be operated; lack of health care and financial sufficiency after typhoon Haiyan delayed his surgery. He is now being prepared by ICRC surgeons and nurses for his surgery to remove his stoma pack and reconnect the digestive system.

The ICRC emergency hospital is equipped to provide services to a population of 150,000 to 200,000. Services are being provided free of charge. It is supported by the Norwegian Red Cross and the German Red Cross.
