Description :
Lysychansk is a town around 15 km from Severodonetsk. It came under shelling in June 2014 and many buildings were destroyed or damaged. Since, fighting has moved further away from the town and it hosts many internally displaced persons.
With the Ukrainian Red Cross, the ICRC carries out a project to provide bread daily to the most vulnerable internally displaced person families. The ICRC provides flour and all required ingredients to a bakery in Severodonetsk, which produces breads every day.
The bread is transported to Lysychansk Ukrainian Red Cross Society office, where beneficiaries come to pick their bread. The Ukrainian Red Cross Society also delivers bread to shelters hosting internally displaced persons in some of the more distant neighbourhoods.
