Description : Being treated by former patients gives new arrivals hope that they too can return to the workforce and resume normal lives, after what are often terrible injuries.

For the disabled and for those who have lost limbs in the conflict, the seven orthopaedic centres operated by the ICRC across Afghanistan are their only source for artificial limbs, physiotherapy and wheelchairs, and for assistance in rejoining the educational system, society and the workforce.
