Description :
The sign on the left shows the way to the outpatients department; one of the busiest departments in the hospital, it conducts over 10,000 consultations a month. The hospital plays a vital role in delivering health care in southern Afghanistan: it is the main surgical, emergency and maternity hospital for around five million people. The ICRC has been supporting Mirwais since 1996. It supplies drugs, medical equipment, training and other support; it also helps with repairs and reconstruction.
