Description :
The agricultural sector has seen a steady deterioration since Israel's disengagement in 2005, with the establishment and extension of a buffer zone leading to a loss of much of fertile agricultural land. Because of frequent military incursions, many farms and fields in areas near the buffer zone were continuously destroyed. Farmers were often killed, wounded or arrested when getting too close to the fence.
