Description : Mamadou, father of Isa who went missing in 2006 when he was 27. Seydou, brother of Isa.
Isa first went to Libya and then to Mali and Mauritania, and they lost track of him after that. Isa was robbed by bandits in Libya and his family had to sell a few cows to send him money. In February 2008 they were told by neighbours that Isa was in a boat heading to Europe which sank, and only six people survived.
Mamadou and his son Seydou are really hurt by the loss of Isa and they lost all the money they had invested in his trip, but they accept it as God's will. Mamadou finds so relief while participating in ICRC and Senegalese Red Cross Society support group. He is Medina Maboube village chief and attended the legal counselling session organized by the ICRC and Senegalese Red Cross Society in Tambacounda. Seydou would like to go to Europe but by plane. "Life in our village is really hard. We have to work 10 hours a day farming for a very small profit".
