Description : Oude, mother of Ibrama, who went missing in 2004 when he was 25. He left two children behind, who are now under the care of Oude. Oude attends ICRC and Senegalese Red Cross Society support group in neighboring Maka Colibantang village.
Ibrama left for Morocco and he called from there to tell his family he was leaving on a boat to Spain. "Pray for me", were his last words. "We knew the trip takes two or three days, but he never called back", says his mother.
Oude has another two sons in the UK and USA. Today, however, she would not give permission to any other son to take a boat to another country. She holds a big smile when she looks at the photo of her son, "he was so funny and he loved couscous", she recalls.
