Description : Niana, father of Fouseyni who was 22 years old when he went missing in 2007. Niana told him to wait but he was young and energetic and he wanted to go. Fouseyni was robbed several times during his trip. In total, they sent him around one million CFA (1500 Euros).
Niana has another two sons -20 and 22 years old- who left some time ago and are trying to reach Italy and Spain, respectively. "It takes a lot of time because of the money needed and difficulties they find on their way", he says.
He didn't give them permission to leave, but they did it anyway and now he is very scared they will end up like Fouseyni.
Niana has lost most of his sight and now he is almost blind but he cannot afford to go to the ophthalmologist. He attends the ICRC and Senegalese Red Cross Society support group. He goes by bicycle, led by his wife.
