Description :
Doctors were unable to save his arm, and as gangrene started to spread, they had no choice but to amputate. Bahati says he does not feel sad about what happened and that he is happy to have served his country. His family lives in another province and he hopes to return there when his condition improves. He also hopes that the Congolese Government will help to find him a useful role in the army, or elsewhere, now that he has lost a limb.
