Tiba and her siblings all suffer thalassemia, a blood disease, and spend most of their day lying in bed. Their family is from Fallujah and they fled their home due to the violence there. Tiba's family cannot afford treatment for thalassemia at the hospital.

Many families have lost their source of income, which puts an additional strain on them as they are already trying to survive displacement. It is difficult for families to be resilient under such circumstances.
The ICRC distributes food parcels, hygiene kits, stoves, blankets and heaters.
