Description : A villager shows how coca leaves are harvested. This was a coca field until the government sprayed it with crop-killing chemicals a few years ago. Coca leaves fetch prices that are 20 times higher than those of rice or corn. The field was struck by rocket-propelled grenades and improvised mortars during fighting between the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and government soldiers some months ago.
