Description : ICRC provided the Wathba water treatment plant at different stages with various new parts (vulvas, chloride boosters, alum sulphate distribution pump etc.) in order to maintain and increase its capacity (last rehabilitation in 2009). The Wathba water treatment plant supplies the Baghdad Medical City with its 5 hospitals with clean drinking water, in addition to the whole area (approx. 450'000-600'000 inhabitants).
