Description : This man was injured twice by PMN1 anti-personnel mines after the Nicaraguan Revolution was over. The first time was in 1997 while he was demining a coffee field for a particular. The second time was a year after, in 1998, while he was working in his own plantation. The two accidents occurred around the Nicaraguan-Honduras border area, a zone where the conflict was particularly devastating and where there is now the greatest number of mines in the country.

Seven years ago, after several and various jobs, he started to make a living looking for gold in the rivers around the forest in the Northern territory. He now lives with his family in Mozonte.
