Description :
The accident occurred around the Nicaraguan-Honduras border area, a zone where the conflict was particularly devastating and where there is now the greatest number of mines in the country.
A few months after he got injured, he started working as a security guard at the Aldo Chavarria Hospital in Managua, where he is still working after 28 years. This hospital offers free access to prosthesis to the war victims thanks to the financial support of the ICRC Special Found for the Disabled.
