Description : The accident occurred around the Nicaraguan-Honduras border area, a zone where the conflict was particularly devastating and where there is now the greatest number of mines in the country.

After the accident, he was trained as a shoemaker but did not find any job. He then decided to start his own coffee plantation. However, the piece of land he bought was full of anti-personnel mines and he had to clean it up before he could start cultivating his fields.
