Description :
Mahamadou Ali shared a room with five others in a house in Bla Brin, 25 km from Diffa. Mahamadou was 15 when he was attacked his village one night in December 2015. One bullet hit Mahamadou in the back, another in the abdomen and a third went through someone else before settling in his foot. “My foot’s infected and they’re going to have to amputate it. Now we’re living in the camp for displaced people in Gagamari.” Mahamadou’s father stays with him every day in the regional hospital: “I’ve been by my son’s bedside for four months now. I can’t feed my family and I haven’t received any aid for a long time.”
