Description : The man works as a maintainer in Beit Sira, fixing motors, refrigerators, washing machines and others. In the past, he used to work in Israel, in the field of construction until 1991. Because he suffered from Leukaemia, he had to stop working and go for treatment in Beit Jala for 4 years. Although he is still exhausted and weak because of the treatment and quantity of medicines he has to take, he turned back to his work five years ago. He transformed his old shop he owns into a maintenance shop in order to breakdown the boredom he was suffering from and to generate some income by carrying out his hobby (maintenance).

3'300 families live in the village of Beit Sira. Most of the men used to work in Israel but have lost their jobs due to restrictions on movement. In addition, the farmers have lost more than half of their fields due to a settlement that was built on their lands. 4000 olive trees were either uprooted or grow on the other side of the barrier.
