Description : Some 3'300 families live in the village of Beit Sira. Most of the men used to work in Israel but have lost their jobs owing to restrictions on movement. In addition, farmers lost more than half of their fields when a settlement was built on their lands. Around 4000 olive trees were either uprooted in the process or now grow on the other side of the West Bank Barrier.

The West Bank Barrier often cuts through farming land. A settlement was built just on the other side of the barrier, on land belonging to farmers from Beit Sira.
