Description :
Today, she is a proud owner of a cow and two young calves. Her live changed dramatically as she is now able to save around 3-4USD every day by making breakfast products for herself and her children.
She moved from Baghdad in 2006 after having lost her husband in sectarian violence that followed the US-led intervention. A mother of seven young children, she struggles every day to survive. As she says, being a lonely mother is the most difficult job in the world.

Since 2010, the ICRC has implemented 42 projects in Sheikh Bawa, a small Arab-Kurdish village in Khanaqin district, Diyala Governorate. As the territories remain widely disputed between Arab and Kurds, the population suffers from lack of basic services and very weak support from the governmental structures.
