Description :
In September 2013, the ICRC provided the police authorities of the Kurdish Regional Government in Kalar, a town situated 200 km south of Suleymanieh in northern Iraq, with bedding and recreational items. An ICRC delegate distributed the items to around 100 inmates, including juveniles and women, of the Germian Central Prison in Kalar. Each detainee received one mattress and one blanket; juvenile detainees were also given games and sport equipment.
