Description : Having lost his left limb in the childhood, during wartime Adel was earning his living working as a daily labourer at the second-hand market in the downtown of Kirkuk. Thanks to the ICRC project, which he joined more than year ago, he is now a proud owner of his own mobile card stand. As he says, everyone has a mobile phone these days and people need scratch cards to use it. Adel has now a firm place on landscape of the Kirkuk market. He is on the spot everyday that helped him gain trust of his customers. Yet, as he says, he is taking his chances with humbleness because nobody knows what the future may bring. Adel works particularly hard these days; he plans to buy a motorbike that will allow him to sell phone cars in the other part of the town.
