Description :
Supported by the ICRC at the beginning of 2012, Fatuma started her own cotton- and wool-processing workshop building upon her past work experiences. Mother of four, Fatuma lost her husband in the tragic shooting at one of the checkpoints on the road from Kirkuk south to Hawija. Left on her own, she suddenly became a mother, father and the main income earner in her family. As time has flown, Fatuma became a busy person offering her services to the people in the southern districts of Kirkuk. Asked about her private life, Fatuma laughing says she now has to make a schedule to manage nearly every minute of her day.
