Description : The families of missing persons arrived to Huamanga from different communities and they recover the human remains of their relatives. The ICRC financed their tickets and the transport of the coffins to the burial place. The needs of the families of missing persons are many. They need to know what happened to their relatives, give them a decent burial, to solve their problems related to widowhood and orphans, there is a need to provide them with an economic support, a psychological and psychosocial care, access to justice, organise memorial acts, get recognition of the disappearance and get compensations and repair. Between 13000 and 16 000 people disappeared during the armed conflict that took place in Peru between1980 and 2000.
