Description : On June 1984, this woman lost her husband during an incursion at the village. At that time, as she had 5 young children, she was in a situation of helplessness. She gave the children to her relatives so that they could survive and had the chance to study outside. She moved forward and her children studied and overcome their problems. After 30 years, on 27 October 2014, the Prosecutor’s Office gave her husband’s remains for burial. Her children came from different places to accompany her at the burial. Huancasancos used to be called “city of orphans” because on a violent action, 40 children were orphaned. Between 13000 and 16 000 people disappeared during the armed conflict that took place in Peru between1980 and 2000.
