Description :
He was a Peshmerga (armed Kurdish fighter) from 1992 until 1995 and as he was fighting in the mountains on July 25, 1997 when he stepped on a landmine left over from the Iran-Iraq war in the village of Harir. He lost the left leg below the knee.
