The ICRC has been supporting the Iraqi Physical rehabilitation Program since 1993. The Erbil PRC was established in 1996 to provide services for patients with physical disabilities in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
From the ICRC website:
In 2013, the ICRC provided nearly 33,000 patients with physical rehabilitation materials and services in ten ICRC-supported and one ICRC-operated physical rehabilitation centres in Iraq.
