Description :
Field Surgical Team heading for Bir Meza to care for a wounded person.
The FST is a volunteer team which works on 3 or 4 month assignments for the ICRC. They perform major surgery in the field wherever it is needed, treating the wounded from all sides of the conflict, and maintain absolute neutrality. In Darfur the majority of their patients are gunshot victims, both military and civilian.
