Description : The blacksmith's forge run by Ibrahim (sitting on the right) in Paoua is producing 28,000 hoes for the ICRC. An ICRC delegate is checking on the progress of the order. To date 22,360 hoes have been made at a rate of 2,000 per week. The business is a family affair, and Ibrahim -- who took over the management from his father 16 years ago -- is assisted by 23 apprentices. One of them, Omar is seen here working the bellows to keep the fire blazing.
